PlaneUpdate™ is a Web based application that provides an e-enabled platform for
end-to-end airplane software distribution and configuration management.
The increasing numbers of airplane software parts has created complications in
the industry associated with the creation, duplication and distribution of
media (floppy and CD). Additionally, the costs associated with software
maintenance have sky-roketed due to complexities associated with configuration
management, media obsolescence, lack of a common processes, and the lack of an
end-to-end solution.
PlaneUpdate™ is based on Equiom’s xTrack™ platform for electronic tracking and
workflow. The solution includes:
- Handheld or laptop data loaders which connect securely via SOAP over Ethernet or wireless 801.11 to the PlaneUpdate™ server.

Wireless Airport Penetration Testing
Wireless communication, especially 802.11A/B/G, have been popular in recent
years as the growing demand for mobile computing needs in the aerospace
industry grows. Many companies are introducing wireless solutions and systems
to airports and airplanes for gatelink. However ensuring a wireless network is
secure requires assessment and penetration testing. The very idea of a wireless
network introduces multiple venues for attack and penetration that are either
much more difficult or completely impossible to execute with a standard, wired
network.
Equiom security professionals (CISSP & CWSP) employ multiple tools to perform
penetration testing on the wireless airport network, the objective being to
improve the security and integrity of the network itself. Furthermore,
additional protection services such as wireless Intrusion Detection Systems
